Stephen Anderson

Anderson, Stephen Paul, age 58, of Coopersville, passed away peacefully at Mission Point of Lamont on Sunday, September 12, 2021. Steve was born in Zeeland, MI on August 6, 1963.  He was a 1982 graduate of Coopersville High School and earned eight varsity letters running x-country and track.  Steve lived his entire life in Coopersville, MI.  He spent his adult life working various handyman jobs.  Steve was a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Michael’s Church and devoted a large part of his time for their charity and fundraising events. He was also very generous with his time to help others. Steve is preceded in death by his parents Frederick and Joanne (Camling) Anderson. Surviving are his children, Jennifer Anderson Cooke, Andrew Anderson (Heather); granddaughters, Ava Anderson, Alyza Anderson, and Anna Anderson; great-granddaughter Maddison Brenner; siblings, Annette Anderson-Ma (Frank Ma), Daniel Anderson (Lynda), Maria Anderson (Sef Vargas), Amy Anderson-Tolar (David Tolar), Mary Anderson (David Elliott); nieces and nephews, Natalie Ma, Helen Ma, Jon Daniel “J.D.” Anderson (Sarah), James Anderson (Kelsey), Shea Anderson, Joseph Anderson (Megan), Clarisa Vargas, Jason Doane (Reidene), Jessica Morgan (Aaron) and Arres Doane, great niece and nephews, Elijah Anderson, Thad Anderson, Marilla Anderson, Tyan Anderson, Nash Anderson and Benjamin Morgan; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, September 25 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Coopersville. Visitation will be an hour before the Celebration of Life. Luncheon will be served afterwards at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Knights of Columbus Council #9909 c/o St. Michael’s Catholic Community, 17150 88th Ave., Coopersville, MI 49404.
