Shirley Cunningham

Shirley Joan Cunningham, age 89, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022. She was born in Coopersville, MI to the late Harm and Sarah (Busman) Veeneman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Irving Cunningham, son Bruce Cunningham, siblings Harriet Mattes, John Veeneman, Ray Veeneman and Floyd Veeneman. Shirley was a lifelong member of the Coopersville Reformed Church, an avid quilter and enjoyed knitting. Charter member of the Coopersville historical society, member of the Hanchett one room school committee and sang in the Coopersville Old Kids Choir. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Joan (John) Pawloski; grandchildren, Ryan (Katie) Pawloski, Aryn Pawloski, Triston Cunningham, Trina Cunningham; great granddaughter, Elizabeth Pawloski and nieces and nephews. In keeping with her wish cremation has taken place. A life celebration gathering will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Coopersville Reformed Church Activity Center, 423 W. Randall St. Coopersville, MI 49404. Interment will take place in Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Fountain View Assisted Living of Coopersville, 640 W.
