Ronald Brownlee

January 25, 1957 — September 11, 2022

Ronald Ernest Brownlee, age 65, passed away at his home Sunday, September 11, 2022. Ron was born in Detroit, MI., to the late Ernest and Lucile (Corell) Brownlee. He was a graduate of Spring Lake High School and worked at Herman Miller. Ron had a deep love for animals especially exotic animals and over the years he has cared for 3 lions, a liger Toby, several bears, deer and many reptiles and snakes. Ron was a devoted father to his son and they did several things together. He was one of those guys that had a way of keeping everyone on their toes when he was around. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and friends and never passed up carrot cake. Ron is survived by his son, Noah Brownlee; sisters, Penny Swanson, Debbie (Clifford) Tubbs and Alice Brownlee; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Ron was also preceded in death by his twin sister Roxanne Brownlee, brother Edward Brownlee, sister Kathy Nicohel and brother-in-law Putt Swanson. In keeping with his wish cremation has taken place. Interment will be in the Nunica Cemetery by his parents, twin sister and brother. A Life Celebration Open House will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 2 – 5 PM at the Coopersville VFW Post 5598, 511 68th Ave N, Coopersville, MI 49404.
