John Kingma

John “Bud” Robert Kingma, age 86, of Allendale, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022. John was born in Grand Rapids, MI to the late Burt and Mary Ann (Janis) Kingma. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandson Dyllan Morris, brothers Jim Kingma and Bob Thompson. He owned Kingma flooring for several years and also worked as an independent flooring contactor. John loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He enjoyed having a warm beer, spending time in Baldwin, MI at his cabin and working on his classic car and attending car shows. John will be deeply missed by his wife of 28 years Debbie Kingma; son, John Jr. (Shana) Kingma; stepdaughters, Kimberly (Daniel)  Morris and Angela (Dan) Smith; stepson, Josh (Amanda) Odmark; grandchildren, Lily, Collin and Jaxon Kingma, Konnor Morris, Bevin and Cayvin Smith and Jerrik Odmark; brother, Bill (Kathy) Thompson; sisters, Maryjeanne Kuemmerle, Betty (Buck) Grutter, Alyce Schumacher, Shirley (Terry) Dykstra and Patty (Mike) Stewart; sisters-in-law, Terri Thompson and Cynthia Berg; many nieces and nephews. In keeping with his wish cremation has taken place. Celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the community club house of Boulder Ridge, 4370 Pingree St. Allendale, MI 49401.
