Jocelyn Zylstra

Jocelyn Coral (Guzin) Zylstra, age 64, passed away at her home on Saturday, November 21, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. Joy was born in Grand Rapids, MI to the late Bruno and Charlene (Rintamaki) Guzin. She was a graduate of Rockford High School, received her Associate’s Degree from Ferris State University and worked as an office manager. Joy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends as well as spoiling her granddaughter Oakley. She is survived by her husband of 28 years Peter Zylstra; daughter, Chelsey and Mitchell Kriger; granddaughter, Oakley and new grandchild to arrive in May 2021; brother Bruce Guzin; sister Karin and Timothy Flannery; niece Bethany Guzin; nephews Lee Flannery and Stephen Flannery. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 27, 2020 at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville, MI 49404 with Rev. Steve VanderWoude officiating. Burial will take place in Nunica Cemetery. Due to Covid restrictions seating will be limited at the funeral home and Masks and Social Distancing are required at the service.  Memorial donations may be made to Michigan Ovarian Cancer Alliance, 315 E.
