April 29, 1938 — June 15, 2020

Joanne Marie Kluting, age 82, of Coopersville, passed away peacefully Monday, June 15, 2020 at her home. She was preceded in death by her father, Herman Brown, mother Marie (VanDyke) Brown Arends and stepfather Robert Arends. Joanne was a loving, caring, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a founding member of St. Gerard’s Guild and member of St Joseph Church in Wright. Joanne is survived by her husband and best friend of 61 yrs. Erwin Kluting; children Michael (Theresa) Kluting, Lori (Dave) Hastings and Jeffrey Kluting; 11 awesome grandchildren; 21great grandchildren; brother Don Brown and Denise; brother-in-laws, Ed Kluting and Eugene (LeeAnne) Kluting and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, June 18, 2020 at St Joseph Catholic Church, 18784 8th Ave, Conklin, MI 49403 with Fr Phil Shangraw celebrant. Burial in St Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Wright. Visitation will be Wednesday 4-7 PM at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville and one hour prior to the service at church. Memorial donations may be made to Lori’s Voice, P.O. Box 66, Coopersville, MI 49404.
