James Karafa

James Lee Karafa, age 78, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021. Jim was born in Grand Haven, MI to the late James and Louise (Goerz) Karafa. In addition to his parents Jim was preceded in death by his wife Scherry Karafa and brother-in-law Verlin Jewell. He will be remembered as a hardworking farmer who was loved by many. Jim is survived by his sister Barbara Jewell; brothers Jack Karafa and Sandy, Joe (Pam) Karafa and John (Cindy) Karafa; many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, Oct. 11, 2021 at Christ Temple, 4905 S Ravenna Rd, Ravenna, MI 49451 with Pastor Jerry Julien officiating. Interment will take place next to his wife in Lakeshore Cemetery, 17200 Lincoln St, Grand Haven, MI 49417.
