Helene Lemmen

Helene Lemmen, age 96, of Rockford formerly of Coopersville, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021 and is now in the presence of her Lord singing her favorite hymn “How Great Thou Art”. She was born in Allendale, MI to the late Gerrit and Helen (Meyer) Lemmen. In addition to her parents, Helene was also preceded in death by her son Dennis Lemmen and siblings Marvin Lemmen, Wilma Buhrer and Sharon Stevens. She is a lifetime member of the Coopersville Christian Reformed Church. Helene loved spending time with her family who meant everything to her and she also enjoyed her many friends in Michigan and Florida. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 76 years, Wayne Lemmen; children, Marcia (Ron) Schofield, Douglas (Heidi) Lemmen, Lance (Regina) Lemmen and Todd (Lori) Lemmen; daughter-in-law, Tammy Lemmen; 12 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sister, Ann Wolbrink and many nieces and nephews.
