Fred Langeland Jr.

Fred Langeland Jr., age 84, passed to Glory at his home on Monday evening, September 30, 2019. Born on July 31, 1935 in Coopersville, MI. to the late Fredrick and Winnie (VanTimmeren) Langeland, the 2nd son of 4 children. Fred is survived by his children,  Dale (Jill) Langeland, Tom (Connie) Langeland, Doug (Kathy) Langeland, Roger (Tammy) Langeland, Ron (Karla) Langeland, Amy (Rod Innes) Looks and Tammy (Keith) Weis; son-in-law, Dave Begin; 23 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; brother, Charles Langeland; sister, Norma (Bernie) Kloet and many nieces and nephews. Fred was preceded to glory by his wife Shirley Langeland (Koster), daughter Arlene Begin (Langeland), brother and sister-in-law Vernon and Phyllis Langeland and sister-in-law Bernice Langeland. Fred served in the National Guard, loved his large family and get-to-gathers where there was always plenty of food and laughter, playing cards, Bruce Crossing Deer Camp, fishing, vacationing on Drummond Island, gardening and golfing. Cremation has taken place. A Life Celebration Service will be held Saturday, 11:00 AM at Little Farms Church, 2518 Arthur St, Coopersville, MI. 49404, with Rev Robert VanManen officiating. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery at Lamont. The family will greet relatives and friends Friday evening from 5 to 8 pm at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville. Memorial donations may be made to Little Farms Church.
