Barbara Faye Curtiss went to meet Jesus in Heaven on February 26th, 2020. Barbara was preceded in death by her dear loving husband Jean Spencer Curtiss in October 2015; by her parents Roland and Katherine Easley, by her granddaughter Sarah Joy Curtiss and by her brother, Roland G. Easley, Barbara is survived by her children; Alan S. (Johanna) Curtiss (South Carolina), and Jonathan P. (Kathleen) Curtiss (Michigan), four grandsons; Caleb, Joshua (Michigan) & Matthew (Rebecca) Curtiss (Virginia) & Joe Hinds (Michigan) as well as three great grandchildren; Grayson, Kaden & Reagan Curtiss (Virginia), Alex and Rowan Hinds (Michigan). Of special mention are brothers and sisters in law; Donald & Karen Rynearson and Garry & Marlene Curtiss, several nieces, nephews & cousins as well as her beloved brother, Carroll E. Easley (Nancy).

Barbara was born in rural Paris, Tennessee. Her family moved to Detroit, Michigan, in 1945 where she remained until graduating from Nursing School at Highland Park General Hospital as an RN. In 1960, while on an internship in Traverse City Michigan and attending a booth at the State Fair, she met her husband to be; Jean Spencer Curtiss, and they were married in 1961. She took several Nursing positions through the years until settling in Marne, Michigan in 1973. She spent the last 28 years of her Nursing career at Spectrum Heath (Butterworth Hospital), until retirement in 2005. During this period, she went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Critical Care Nursing from Western Michigan University. Throughout her married life, she remained devoted to her Lord Jesus Christ, her Husband of 54 years, her Children, Grand Children and Great Grand Children, and was very active in her Church.

In loving memory of Barbara, Friends and Family are invited to attend a visitation with the family at the First Evangelical Covenant Church, 1933 Tremont Blvd. NW, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49504 on Saturday March 7th, 2020 (beginning at 10am EST), immediately followed by a Memorial Service (beginning at 11am EST), and a luncheon afterward.
