Arlene Spoelman

Arlene M. Spoelman, age 87, of Ravenna, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband John, two daughters, Baby girl Spoelman at birth and Mary Spoelman, brothers, Vernon, Leon, Dale and Faye and also sister, June. Arlene loved the Lord and was very strong in her faith. She also loved her grandchildren, birds and flowers. Arlene enjoyed card playing with Harry and Myrna Borgman, doing puzzles and also loved to cook and no one ever went hungry. She is survived by her 10 children, Timothy (Maureen) Spoelman, Mark (Rose) Spoelman, Jeff (Jodie) Spoelman, Julie Helsen, Steve Spoelman, Kathy (Brian) Prentkiewicz, Matt (Kim) Spoelman, Connie (Alan) Leonard, Chris (Greg) Simington and Todd Spoelman; 28 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother, Chuck Rider; brother-in-law, Lloyd “Bud” Afton; many nieces, nephews and special friends, Glenna Drummond and Sharyn Wilson. Graveside Services will be held Monday, May 3, 2021 at 2pm at the Ravenna Cemetery, Rev. Steve VanderWoude officiating.
