William Adema

William (Bill) Jay Adema, age 81, of Coopersville, MI., went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday morning, April 14, 2017. Bill was a man of great faith. He had a personal relationship with his Lord Jesus Christ, which all could witness through his daily words and actions. He will be remembered as a quiet, gentle spirit who provided support and unconditional love to his family. He modeled compassion, humility, and a love for life. Bill was a hard worker and could often be found in his garden or working around the yard. Bill served in the US Army from 1956-1958. He was co-owner of Adema's Generator Service in Coopersville from 1959-1996. He continued to re-build generators for the new owner until December 2016. He was passionate about his work and an expert in his field. Bill also served as a trustee on the Board of the Coopersville Area Community Foundation. He was very involved in his church, as he was a charter member, deacon, and an elder at the Church of the Saviour in Coopersville, MI. He worked behind the scenes as a volunteer for property maintenance. Bill's family rests in the assurance that he is now walking with the Lord and hearing, "Well done, my good and faithful servant." He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Lois (Walt) Adema; children Denise (Kevin) Wiersma, Doug (Eleonor) Adema; grandchildren Emily (Brady) Swanson, Paul (Tiffany) Adema, Ben (Jill) Wiersma, Beka Wiersma, Melanie Adema, Mark Adema; great grandchildren Liv and Theodore Swanson; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Hannah Adema, Ruth Adema, Norm Nanninga, Dee (Arnie) Medendorp, Lou (Ray) Snyder, Allen (Sue) Walt, Arlyn (Kathy) Walt.
