Timothy James Klooster, age 74, of Conklin, Michigan, passed away on July 6, 2026. He was born on April 29, 1952, in Charlevoix, Michigan, and was raised in Cedar Springs, where he spent his early years and built the strong work ethic and steady character that would guide him throughout his life.
Timothy was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Marcia Klooster; his children, Wendy Klooster and Aaron (Sarah) Klooster; and his cherished grandchildren, Christian Klooster, Caden Klooster, Malea Klooster, Audrey Klooster, Timothy Klooster, and James Klooster. He also leaves behind his fur baby, Jaden Klooster; his brothers, Jeff (Sharon) Klooster and Reginald (Dawn) Klooster; his brother-in-law, Larry Rowan; his sister-in-law, Linda Sue Camp; and several nieces and nephews who will remember him with love and gratitude.
Timothy devoted 50 years of service to Meijer, beginning at the age of 16 in Cedar Springs as a bagger. Through years of dedication, hard work, and loyalty, he rose through the company and ultimately retired from Meijer distribution after a remarkable career. His long tenure reflected not only his commitment to his work, but also the dependable and steadfast nature that made him respected by those who knew him.
Those who knew Timothy will remember him as funny, wise, and loving. He had a gift for making others laugh and a way of sharing wisdom that came from a life well lived. His presence brought comfort and warmth to his family and friends, and his love for those around him was evident in the way he lived each day. He treasured time with his family and especially enjoyed fishing with his grandsons, creating memories that will be held close for years to come. Timothy also enjoyed traveling, especially in his 2002 Mustang convertible, which brought him great joy and reflected his appreciation for the open road and simple pleasures in life. He had an interest in collecting bourbon, a hobby that added to the many ways he enjoyed spending his time. Whether at home, on the road, or with family, Timothy embraced life with a sense of humor, wisdom, and affection that made him unforgettable. Timothy’s life was one marked by devotion to family, loyalty to his work, and a spirit that touched many. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In keeping with Tim's wish cremation has taken place with a private immediate family interment service.
