Theodore Elzinga

Theodore "Ted" Elzinga, age 71, of Marne, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017 and was reunited with his wife Barbara who passed away February 8, 2013. Ted enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and watching the sunsets on the lake he excavated behind his home. He is survived by his 5 sons, Gerrit (Patty), Ted, Tim (Melanie), Mark (Nicole) and Kevin (Amber); grandchildren, Gerrit J., Jessie, Bailey, Evan, Gaby, Hanna, Calvin, Carter, Noah, Ethan, Natalie, Coleton and Eva; 3 brothers, Rev. Gordon, Rudy (Sharon) and Ken (Geri); 3 sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Gloria (Bill) Reidt, George (Janice) Thornell, Nancy (Mike) Burdick, Debbie (Bob) Kroes; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday Oct. 5, 2017 at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St., Coopersville with burial in Marne Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family 5-8 PM Wednesday Oct. 4, 2017 at the funeral home in Coopersville.
