Sandra Mclaughlin

Sandra Lee (Lewis-Meringa) McLaughlin, age 74 of Coopersville. It is with heavy hearts that the family of Sandra “Sandy” McLaughlin announces her unexpected passing on Thursday April 21, 2022 at her home. Sandy will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Edward McLaughlin; son, Gary (Thera) Meringa II; daughter, Molly (Adam) Czarnopys; grandchildren, Lucas Meringa, Lilyana Meringa, Alexander Czarnopys and Benjamin Czarnopys; brother, Stanley (Sherry) Lewis; sisters-in-law, Margaret Mylensky and Mary Cook; brother-in-law, David Cook; several nieces and nephews. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, William and Stella (ZiomKowski) Lewis, husband Gary Meringa, who was killed in 1968 in Vietnam, brother and sister-in-law Robert (Margie) Lewis and sister and brother-in-law Carol (Fred) Swartz. Sandy was a graduate of Catholic Central High School, Cosmetology School and was a member of St Michael’s Catholic Church in Coopersville. She enjoyed her home, was a wonderful homemaker, loved cooking, baking pies and spending time with family and friends. This Easter she enjoyed her day with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. Sandy was a woman of many talents who had a heart full of love and kindness for everyone and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. In keeping with her wish cremation has taken place with interment in Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends 5 – 7 P.M. Thursday, April 28, 2022 at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville, 49404 with a Scripture Service at 7:00 P.M. following the visitation.
