Rose Schippers

Mrs Rose Schippers, age 89, of Nunica and Coopersville passed away Friday, August 21, 2015. Rose worked as a cook in various local restaurants and as an LPN at local Grand Haven nursing homes for many years. She was a proud member of the Maycroft Square Tappers for 36 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and could always be counted on to lend a helping hand. Rose was preceded in death by her husband George J. Schippers Sr., son, Joseph Schippers and daughters Marge Mollenkamp and Dorothy Hatfield. She is survived by her children Jim (Lorra) Schippers, Myron (Pamela) Schippers, Donald (Tina) Schippers, Fran Hushyn, Alice Fitkin, George J. Jr. (Bonnie) Schippers and Ethel (Glenn) Engle; 33 grandchildren; more than 44 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; brothers, Ren Schoolcraft and Richard (Norma) Schoolcraft; sister Mary (Stanly) Zimbiki and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday August 26, 2015 11:00 a.m. at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St. Coopersville, MI 49404. Burial will take place in Nunica Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday August 25, 2015 at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville.
