Roger Lambert

Roger W. Lambert, age 70,  of Grand Rapids, passed away unexpectedly at home February 2, 2018. He graduated from Kenowa Hills High School, served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and owned Lambert TV and Appliance Store in Coopersville for over 40 years. Roger enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and children. He was always telling them how proud he was of them. He enjoyed playing softball, shooting pool with his son Ryan and brother Jerry, spending time with his wife Sandy, checking in with his mother Doris, and helping her with errands. Roger loved animals, especially his dog Morgan who passed away and could never be replaced. He was preceded in death by his father Roy Lambert and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Merritt and Kathryn Masten. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Sandy Lambert; mother, Doris Lambert; children, Michelle Newman, Nicole (Ben) Morrison and Ryan Lambert; grandchildren, Parker Newman and Ella Morrison; brother, Jerry Lambert; sister, Joni (Dave) DeRoos; brother-in-law, Lynn Masten and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Congregational Church, 2725 4 Mile Rd NW, Grand Rapids, MI, 49544 with Rev. Izzy Young officiating. Visitation Monday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville and one hour prior to the service at church.
