Ricky (Pork) Lee Andrews, age 64, of Coopersville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 7, 2025. Born and raised in Coopersville, MI to the late Carroll and Laura (Carson) Andrews, Rick spent his entire life on the Andrews Family Farm, a place he loved deeply and called home. Rick had a deep love for the outdoors, cherished trips to the U.P., and was a farmer at heart. Whether it was cheering on his beloved Detroit Lions, Tigers, or Michigan Wolverines, Rick had a loyal spirit and loved fiercely. He was passionate about riding Harley-Davidsons and was the longtime host of an annual poker run that gathered people together for a good time that gave back to the community. Nothing meant more to Rick than family. He was a devoted husband, a proud dad, and a loving grandpa. The absolute love of his life was his wife, Sue. Together, they built a life full of joy, love, and devotion. He hosted Thursday night “Happy Hours” in the barn, an open invitation to all who knew him. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Suzanne Andrews; his children, Rhea Andrews, Sara (Aaron) Westrick, and Chet (Sierra) Andrews; and his cherished grandchildren, Caroline Andrews, Vivian and Josephine Kluting. Rick is also survived by his brother, Kurt Andrews; sisters, Carol Ann (Al) Millen, Joyce (Bruce) Hendrickson and Alyce (Dave) Sturgeon; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Mike (Julie) Diendorf, Jim (Trish) Diendorf, Patty (Todd) McDonald, and John (Kelly) Diendorf, along with many nieces, nephews, and countless friends who became family over the years. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Larry Andrews; his in-laws, John and Faye Diendorf; and sister-in-law, Julie Andrews. Family and friends are invited to meet the family on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville, MI 49404. In true Pork fashion, a traditional “Happy Hour” celebration will follow visitation Thursday at the barn. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM (with an hour visitation before mass) at St. Francis Xavier Church, 2044 Gooding St, Conklin, MI 49403, with Fr. Andrew Ayers officiating. Following the service, a private burial will be held for the family. All are welcome to join the family for lunch and a celebration at the farm following the service.
