Richard “Ricky” Roger Schuiling, age 67, passed away unexpectedly Monday, September 15, 2025. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI to Roger and Linda (Jacobson) Schuiling. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Schuiling and sister Kim Schuiling. Richard loved spending time with his children, was an avid outdoorsman where he liked to hunt, and fish on the Pentwater pier for several years with his father and brother. In his younger years he enjoyed racing dirt bikes and took home a championship trophy. There was never a time he was without a motorcycle and 3 years ago he got his dream motorcycle and just recently got home from a long ride. Richard was always supportive and welcomed everyone he came in contact with and taught his children many skills. He was previously employed by Ridgeview Industries as a Quality Control inspector, where he worked for 13 years before his retirement in October of 2024. He will be deeply missed by his children, Abigail (Keith) Burns, Gabrielle Schuiling and Andrew Watson, Chad Schuiling and Lydia Beaton; grandchildren, Cassidy, Sierra, Ailee, Daxton Burns; love of his life, Sheila Skillern; Sheila’s children, Christopher (Heidi) Miedema, Mandria (Kris) Platte; Sheila’s grandson, Tayler Parson; sister, Deb (Pat) Richer; brother, Tim (Sue) Schuiling and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, September 19, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St. Coopersville, MI 49404. A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 19, 2025 at the Throop Funeral Home with Rev. John Hines officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Lori’s Voice, P.O.
