Raymond Monk

Raymond K. é�a�A"Butché�a�� Monk, age 72, passed away Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016. Butch was born in Newberry, MI. to the late Lawrence and Ruth (Bedell) Monk. He worked as a General Superintendent for Bouma Construction Co in Grand Rapids for 20 yrs. Butch enjoyed fishing, boating, Nascar and traveling and camping. He is survived by his wife of 32 years Melissa; children, Dawn, Keith and Amy; brother, Larry (Mary) Monk; sisters, Marilyn (Wayne) Shooltz and Suzanne Frentner (Robert Woodrich); sisters-in-law, JoLynn (Tom) Swedberg and Nancy Hoisington; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Butch was also preceded in death by his son David Monk and daughter Sheila Pickman. In keeping with his wish cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016 at the Berlin Baptist Church, 1519 Jackson St, Marne, MI 49435 with Rev Jeff Gunderman officiating.
