Raymond Jack Doty Jr.

Raymond Jack Doty Jr., age 73, of Coopersville, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025. He was born in East Tawas, Michigan to Raymond Doty Sr. and the late Shirley (Greenwood) Doty. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Orrin and Stella Koning; brother, Scott Doty; 3 nephews; brothers-in-law, Jerry Spencer and Ted Totoraitis.

Raymond worked at Blarney Castle Oil until retirement. Ray and Mary enjoyed spending winter in Arizona where they made many friends. Ray also enjoyed fishing and hunting with his sons, son-in-law and grandchildren.

Ray will be deeply missed by his wife of 55 years, Mary (Koning) Doty; children, Raymond III (Kim) Doty, Todd (Kristina) Doty, Lyndsey (Allan) Nowak, Kasey Doty (Josh Bailey); 15 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Patrick (Sue) Doty; sisters, Deborah (Steve) Balderson, Bonnie Spencer; sisters-in-law, Debbie (Tom) Bush, Sheryl Koning, Gayle (Frank) Carskadon, Diane (Joe) Paauwe, Suellyn (Brian) Metten and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wish cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, July 6, 2025 from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. at Grand Ravines Lodge, 9920 42nd Ave. Georgetown Township, MI 49428.
