Peggy Jenkins

Peggy Jenkins (nee Gerwig), age 80, of Cedar Springs, passed away at her home Sunday, February 03, 2019. She was born in Muskegon, MI to the late George and Mildred (Armock) Gerwig. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her son Floyd “Mike” Jenkins, son-in-law Bruce Kempainen, and siblings, Dot, Linda, Bill and John. Peggy loved to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren who she loved to spoil. She enjoyed sewing, photography and traveling. Peggy is survived by her husband of 61 yrs. Floyd Jenkins Jr.; daughters, Rosa Kempainen and Teresa (Jim) Molyneux; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Ivolene Baldwin, Josie Timmer, Pauline (Larry) Wemple and Donna Calkins; brothers, Walt Gerwig, Bob (Sally) Gerwig, Jim (Karen) Gerwig, Ken (Joan) Gerwig; sister-in-law, Kathy Gerwig; brothers-in-law, Eddie (Elaine) Jenkins and Raymond (Diane) Jenkins; many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019 at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville, 49404 with Rev. Don Long officiating. Burial will take place in the Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-7 P.M. Wednesday, Feb 6th at the funeral home. An online guestbook may be signed at www.throopfh.com
