11/3/1933 – 7/10/2026 Kloosterhouse, Orwin “Bud” Henry of Coopersville, MI age 92, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones. He is with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as of Friday July 10, 2026.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Nancy (Terpstra) Kloosterhouse; his children, Laurie & Steve Alt, Lonnie & Rick Lillibridge, Kathy and the late Arlyn Walt, Diane Busman, and Tom Kloosterhouse; grandchildren, Eric & Lizzie Lillibridge, Kevin Alt & Rochelle Jones, Ryan & Liz Lillibridge, Doug & Valentina Alt, Heather & Andy Anderson, Jamie & Terri Alt, Amanda & Joe Lynch, Caitlyn & Brian Arsenault, Bryan & Abbi Alt, April & Kevin Wieringa, Mark & Courtney Busman, Brad & Kelsey Busman, Sybrant Walt, Denny & Lindsey Alt, Raine Gregware. Bud was also blessed with 32 Great-Grand Children; sister, Carolyn Cushway; brother-in-law, Gordon Terpstra, brother-in-law Larry & Judy Terpstra, sister-in-law Mary & Al Machiela and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred & Florence Kloosterhouse, brothers, Fredrick & Pauline Kloosterhouse, Marvin & Arlene Kloosterhouse-Bubnik, brother-in-law, Bill Cushway, sister-in-law Eileen Terpstra, and granddaughter, Angie Lillibridge.

Bud grew up on a farm in Coopersville and graduated from Coopersville High School in 1951. He served in the US Army for 2 years. He worked as a pattern maker creating the structures for tool and die factories and worked on a farm for many years. He was a master craftsman at woodworking, built many special things for his family, friends and the church auctions. He had a strong Christian faith that he shared with his family, neighbors and friends, the importance to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

He loved spending time with his family, going camping, fishing, vacationing on family road trips. He loved attending his grandkids and great grandkids events. Bud & Nancy provided a safe haven for 101 foster children over the years. He was very involved in Church of the Saviour, as he was a founding charter member, a deacon and an elder. He also enjoyed being a youth leader, going on mission trips and coaching the church girls’ softball team (which his 4 daughters played on). He worked for many years as a volunteer on the church property. He will be deeply missed by so many.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Monday July 13th, 2026 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm at Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St. Coopersville.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 14th, 2026 at 2:00pm at Church of the Saviour, 180 - 68th Ave. Coopersville. There will be a lunch provided after the funeral.

Donations may be given to Church of the Saviour in remembrance of Bud. Condolences for the family may be left of Bud’s guestbook at www.throopfh.com.
