Mildred Feenstra

Mildred “Millie” Louise Feenstra, age 92, of Lamont, MI., went to be with her Lord and Saviour Sunday, July 22, 2018. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI. to the late Jacob and Adrianna (Roskamp) Stroven. Millie was a life member of Lamont Christian Reformed Church where she played the organ for 55 years. She was also active in the women’s group at church and with Lamont Christian School. Millie enjoyed baking breads, cookies and pies and giving her fresh baked goods to family and friends to enjoy. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Feenstra on April 14, 2015, son Robert Feenstra on Nov 13, 2014, brothers and sisters-in-law Glenn (Nelva) Stroven and James (Laveen) Stroven, brothers-in-law Ray Feenstra and Lester Feenstra and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Evelyn (Ken) Koning. Millie is survived by her daughter, Marianne and Jerry McDonald; daughter-in-law, Karen Feenstra; grandson, Bobby and Kristin Feenstra and great grandchildren, Bo and Annie; granddaughter, Angela and Jerry Radle and great grandchildren, Amelia and Charlee; grandson, Danny McDonald; sisters-in-law, Polly Stroven, Ruth Lamberts and Rose Feenstra; special friend, Chris Wielenga and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:30 A.M. Thursday at Lamont Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Dr. Terry Slachter officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery at Lamont. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday one hour prior to the service at Church. The family wishes to thank the staff at Yorkshire and Stonebridge Manors and Spectrum Hospice for their care.
