Martin James Wiersema Jr.

Martin James “Jim” Wiersema Jr. age 74, of Coopersville, passed away at his home with family at his side Saturday, April 19, 2025.

Jim was born in Grand Rapids, MI., to the late Martin Sr. and Juanita (Stewart) Wiersema. Jim served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam War and retired from Knape and Vogt in Grand Rapids where he worked in Quality Control.

Jim is survived by his wife of 35 yrs., Linda (Busfield) Wiersema; children, Stacy Vanderploeg, Laurie (Garret) Searl, Mike Wiersema (Mary), Randy Cook and Crystal (Nick) Pruett; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Janice (Andre) Osterbeck; mother-in-law, Marian Busfield; sisters-in-law, Connie Bellinger and Beth (Jeff) Kurizenga; brother-in-law, Donald (Sandy) Busfield; many nieces and nephews.
