Marlene Horling

Marlene A. Horling, age 67, of Coopersville, was called home to her Lord and Saviour, Tuesday, May 1, 2018. Marlene was born in Holland, MI., to the late Harold and Nellie (Miedema) Elders. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family and always looked forward to Christmas with great anticipation. Marlene truly loved Jesus, her Lord and Saviour. It was her life's motto that without Him she could do nothing. She always put others before herself, had a very giving heart and was active in her church until health issues made it difficult for her. She enjoyed doing craft work as well as sewing doll clothes and making doll houses for her grandchildren and others. Marlene will be deeply missed by her husband of 47 yrs., Glenn; 3 sons, Chad (Sonja) Horling, Troy (Felicia) Horling and Tim (Trisha) Horling; 4 grandchildren, Alexander, Rebecca, Kathryn and Matthew; sister, Janice (Steve) VanDyke; brother-in-law, Roger (Beatrice) Horling; 2 nieces and 5 nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Lamont Community Church with Rev Rick LeFebre and Rev Rodney Thole officiating. Burial will be in the Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery.  Visitation Friday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville.
