Marie Irish

Marie C. Irish, age 95, of Coopersville, passed away January 13, 2014. She was born May 31, 1918 to Joseph and Anna (Gimm) Zimmer who preceded her in death. Marie was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, and was a longtime member of St Maryé�a�a��s Catholic Parish in Marne. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey; son, Benjamin, six brothers and five sisters. Marie is survived by her children, James (Ruth) Irish, Mary (Gordon) Powers, Joyce (Bob) Mabie, Harvey (Diana) Irish, Charlotte (Richard) Fein and Patick Irish (Karen); many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister Rita Keil; sister-in-law Gertrude Irish and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday 11:00 AM at St Maryé�a�a��s Catholic Church in Marne with Fr David Goss Celebrant. Burial in St Maryé�a�a��s Cemetery, Marne. Relatives and friends may meet the family at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Wednesday. The Rosary will be prayed Wednesday evening at 8:30 pm. Visitation will also be held Thursday one hour prior to the Mass at Church. Memorial donations may be made to St Maryé�a�a��s Church Capital Improvement Fund.
