Marie Avery

Marie Avery, age 96, of Marne, passed away at her home Wednesday, March 14, 2018. She was born in Grand Rapids to the late Neil and Jennie (Balk) Lobbezoo.  In addition to her parents Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Edward and son, David. She was retired from the Marne Post Office where she worked as a clerk for many years. Marie loved her husband Ed and family deeply, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends and shared many travel adventures with her late husband Ed. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine Laug and Harry Bartlett; grandchildren, David Avery and Kim Avery; great grandchildren, Ryan (Chelsea) Avery and Tyler Avery; great grandchildren, Jackson Avery and Emmett Avery. In keeping with her wish cremation has taken place with interment next to her husband and son in the Marne Cemetery. A Life Celebration Service will be held at a later date.
