Lorraine Rider

Lorraine Rider, age 91, of Coopersville, passed away Monday October 30, 2017. Lorraine worked several years at the Randall Haus Restaurant in Coopersville. She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a wonderful cook and baker and accomplished seamstress, making many of her children’s clothes. Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Leon on Jan. 24, 2009. She is survived by her daughter, Lynneth (Barry) VanSinger; son, Alan (Tina) Rider; grandchildren, Joel (Karen) Taylor, Amanda Rux, Kelly (Paul) Lauria, Angela Rider and Alicia Rider; sister, Lois Spencer; brother, Floyd (Pam) Cheyne; dear friend of 65 years, Vivian Morris of Washington and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend a thank you to the Staff at Fountain View-Coopersville and Grace Hospice for the care given to Lorraine. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville 49404. Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 6, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Fountain View Assisted Living, 640 W. Randall St, Coopersville, MI 49404.
