Loraine Ruby (Foster) Vander Jagt

Loraine Ruby (Foster) Vander Jagt, age 89 of Grand Rapids formerly of Lakeview, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025. Loraine was born in Lakeview MI. to the late LeRoy and Eunice (Haight) Foster. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Floyd Kaminski; her brother, David Foster and brother and sister-in-law, Byron and Mary Foster.

Loraine had a deep love for her family and was a very hardworking woman who cared deeply for others. She was a member of Seventh Reformed Church in Grand Rapids and drove a school bus for over 16 years in Lakeview, MI.

Loraine will be deeply missed by her husband of 62 yrs., Donald Vander Jagt; three sons, Robert Vander Jagt, Steven and Beverly Vander Jagt and Col. Ret. David and Theresa Vander Jagt; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Kenneth and Grace Vander Jagt, Rodger and Cheryl Vander Jagt; sisters-in-law, Ellen Rozema, Marian Alderink, Nancy Torgenson and Karen Vander Jagt; many nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Seventh Reformed Church, 950 Leonard St NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504 with Pastor Paul van Engelenhoven officiating.

Burial will take place in Cato Twp. Cemetery, by Lakeview MI. at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 24, 2025.

Relatives and friends may greet the family Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Church from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. one hour prior to the service.
