Larry Norman Curtis

March 16, 1936 — May 16, 2026

Larry Norman Curtis, age 90, of Cedar Springs, Michigan, passed away on May 16, 2026. He was born on March 16, 1936, in Marne, Michigan, and lived a life marked by love, faith, friendship, and devotion to his family.

Larry was a man who valued hard work and steady commitment. He worked for and retired from Steel Case, where he spent many years building a reputation for dependability and dedication. His work ethic reflected the same qualities that guided the rest of his life, and he carried himself with quiet strength and humility in all that he did.

He was preceded in death by his father Glenn Curtis, mother Irmal Anderson, and brothers, Billy Curtis, Franklin Curtis and Ronald Curtis.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Barbara Curtis. Together they shared a long and devoted marriage filled with love, companionship, and countless memories. He is also survived by his children, Deborah (Gerald) Danielson, Mark Curtis, Brenda (Tom) Calbetzer, and Tracy (Tim) Cross. He leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Marcia Curtis and Shirley Heiman, and many nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

Larry deeply loved spending time with family and friends. He especially enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and he found great joy in being surrounded by the people he loved most. His family was the center of his life, and he was happiest when gathered with those closest to him. His warm presence, kind spirit, and genuine interest in others made him someone people naturally enjoyed being around.

In his free time, Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing, tractors and trains. These interests brought him enjoyment throughout his life and reflected his appreciation for simple pleasures and lasting traditions. Whether he was outdoors, on the bowling lane, or sharing stories about the things he loved, Larry approached life with enthusiasm and a friendly spirit.

Those who knew Larry will remember him as a loving, faith-filled, and friendly man. His faith was an important part of who he was, and it helped shape the way he treated others with kindness, patience, and respect.
