Kathy Helen (Hooker) Kwiatkowski

Kathy Helen (Hooker) Kwiatkowski, age 69, of Grand Rapids passed away at her home Monday morning July 24, 2023 with her husband Ed at her side. Kathy was born in Grand Rapids, MI., to the late Robert and Peggy (Kaminski) Hooker. In addition to her parents Kathy was also preceded in death by her sister Sandy Riley. Kathy is survived by her husband of 33 yrs. Edward Kwiatkowski II; children, David (Carrie) Stoliecki, Molly (Chris) Lammer,  William (Jamie) Kwiatkowski, Amanda Steeby-Kwiatkowski; 9 grandchildren, Addison, Aaliyah, Julie, Jordynn, Hayley, Dylan, Austin, Kayla, and Brayden; 3 great grandchildren, Hunter, Payton, and Chase; brother, Jerry (Phyllis) Hooker; sister, Debbie Sampier; sister-in-law, Karen (Dale) Robinson; brothers-in-law, Donald (Sheila) Kwiatkowski and Scott (Terri) Kwiatkowski; many nieces and nephews and favorite cousins; special friend Mary Marble and many other dear family and friends. 

Kathy was a graduate of Grandville High School, attended cosmetology school, and then opened, owned, and operated her own beauty shop, “The Sunny Spot” on Grand Rapid’s North side for several years. She then went onto the banking industry, training bank tellers all over the country, and then retiring from Chase Bank after 35 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her family, attending her grandchildren’s school events and of course spoiling her grandchildren, and her grand-dog Cash. Honorable mention to Grand Cat, Ollie. Kathy and her husband are members of the St. Isidore Parish and also members of the S&S Casino Group. They both enjoyed traveling all over the country with friends to different casinos and tourist sites and attractions. Kathy was always someone you could always count on to lend a hand and enjoyed helping family and friends in any way she was able. 
 
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 28, 2023 at Arsulowicz Brothers East Chapel, 937 Michigan St. NE, Grand Rapids, with burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Wyoming, MI. Relatives and Friends may greet the family 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the Arsulowicz Brothers East Chapel, 937 Michigan St. Grand Rapids.
