Kara L. Hines (Bergsma), age 43, of Spring Lake, passed away Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017. Kara was a Coopersville High School graduate and graduated from Grand Valley State University with her teaching degree. She was employed as a special education teacher in Muskegon County with the North East Ed. Center (NEEC) thru Ravenna Public Schools. She was preceded in death by her father Marvin Bergsma. Kara is survived by her husband, Eric Hines; children, Isaac, Isaiah, Gideon, Elijah and Andrea; mother, Betty Bergsma; brother, Chad Bergsma; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas and Claire Hines; sister-in-law, Amy Hines and two nieces. Cremation has taken place. A Life Celebration Memorial Service will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday Dec 2, 2017 at Church of The Saviour, 180 N. 68th Ave, Coopersville, MI 49404 with Rev Dave Kingma officiating.
