Judie Ann (Davis) Brown

Judie (Judi) Ann Brown, age 86, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2025. She was born in Coopersville, MI to the late Gordon and Virginia (Wisner) Davis. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Brown; daughter, Amy Kwiatkowski; grandchildren, Mackenzie Brown and Adam Brown; foster children, Rosalee Batzer and George Yannott; son-in-law, Barry Watson; sister, Sandy Jiminez; brothers-in-law, Allen Brown and Nathan Brown and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Monica (Donald) Zahm and foster child Darnell Green.

Judie was a faithful member of St Michael’s Catholic Church in Coopersville since 1958, she enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, reading, and had a passion for helping people. Judi was the founder and a long time director of HELP Pregnancy Aid in Grand Rapids, MI, she also volunteered for 10 yrs. in Grand Rapids every Tuesday for the Hot Dog Lunches at Veterans Park serving meals to those in need and volunteered at Frederick Meijer Gardens for 10 years.

Judie will be deeply missed by her children, John (Cathy) Visscher, Chris (Kathy) Brown, Greg Brown, Therese Brown, Andrea Watson, Tony (Tonya) Brown, Penny (Jeff) Austin, Joel (Danielle) Brown; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; 27 foster children including foster daughter-in-law, Mary Yannott; several foster grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Dan (Caroline) Davis; sisters-in-law, Ann (Gerald) Wesolowski, Joyce Brown, Nancy Brown and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Medical Team Hospice for the care they gave to Judie and the family.

Relative sand friends may meet the family Friday, December 5, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 17150 88th Ave. Coopersville, MI 49404. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 A.M. at St Michael’s Catholic Church, 17150 88th Ave, Coopersville, MI 49404 with Fr. Michael Hodges celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery.
