Joyce Fowler

Joyce Fowler, age 93, of Coopersville, MI. At an early age, Joyce opened her arms and asked Jesus Christ to live in her, and on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, Jesus Christ opened his arms and asked Joyce to live with him. Joyce was born in Polkton Twp, MI., to the late Jacob and Violet (Bache) Witcop. She was a lifetime member of the Coopersville Reformed Church, and enjoyed visiting members of her church family and friends who were homebound or in nursing homes. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren and she could always be called upon to take them places when Mom and Dad were at work. Joyce also enjoyed tending her flower gardens, reading and quilting. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Robert, daughter-in-law, Sue Fowler, 2 great granddaughters, Erica McGee and Paislee Classen, sister and brother-in-law, Norma and Larry Draft, brother-in-law, Bill Bosker, sister-in-law, Ada and 2 brothers-in-law, Chester and Warren. She will be missed by her children, Rev. Dennis (Marietta) Fowler, Deborah (Douglas) Mauk, and Faythe (Alan) Gillespie; 7 grandchildren, Stefanie (Brian) McGee, Chanin (Chris) Mason, Heidi (Todd) Swifink, Heather (Peter) Smoes, Adam (Lisa) Gillespie, Jared (Kimberly) Gillespie, and Joni (Alex) Classen; 20 great grandchildren; sister, Leah Bosker; sister-in-law, Joyce Hatcher and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, 1:30 P.M. at Coopersville Reformed Church with Rev Dennis Fowler and Rev. Arnold VanBeek officiating. Burial will be in Coopersville-Polkton Twp. Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday 5 to 8 pm at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville. Memorial donations may be made to the Coopersville Reformed Church, 423 W. Randall St, Coopersville, MI 49404.
