Joseph Umlor

Joseph Michael Umlor, age 65, of Ravenna passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 23, 2017. He was born in Grand Rapids to the late Arthur and Bonnie (Sheldon) Umlor. Joe was a farmer, worked for Leigh Products in Coopersville as well as for Bonthuis Farms in Ravenna and Buth Dairy in Eastmanville. Joe enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Claudette Dee Dee Umlor (Kort); children, Cary Beal, Jessica Umlor and Tom Larson and Joshua Umlor; five grandchildren, Kayla Umlor, Vanessa Beal, Taylor Beal, Benjamin Larson and Brayden Larson; sister, Ellen Hudson; brother, Tim (Danette) Umlor; brothers-in-law, Larry (Mary) Kort and Kim Kort; sister-in-law, Karen (Les) Youngblood and several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a Life Celebration Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were handled by the Throop Funeral Home of Coopersville.
