Jesse James Ricord (38) of Marne went to be with the Lord September 8 while working on power lines in Baldwin. Jesse was an indescribably devoted husband and father. He was a lineman for Great Lakes Energy where he has worked for the past 16 years. His sudden passing has left a void that can only be filled by God, and Jesse made it his life’s work teaching his family about God and the limitless reach of true faith and unconditional love. Jesse was preceded in death by his brother Aaron and daughter Jenna. He is survived by his high school sweetheart/best friend/wife of 14 years Jean and their 6 children; Aaron, Tyrus, Sophia, Sēla, Evan and Lolita; parents, James and Susan Ricord; brother, Jason (Mandy) Ricord and their 9 children; sister, Nicole Ricord; mother-in-law, Pamela (Bob) Brinks; grandparents, Wayne and Jean Bumstead; many aunts, uncles and cousins. A full Catholic mass will be held in Jesse’s honor Wednesday, September 15 at 11:00 AM at St . Mary’s Church in Marne with burial in St Mary’s Cemetery following the Mass. A luncheon will follow the services at St Mary’s Parish Hall. Visitation will be held Tuesday 6-8 PM at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville and Wednesday one hour prior to mass at Church. A GoFundMe page has been set up to assist the family at https://www.gofundme.com/f/jesse-ricord-family-fund. An online guestbook may be signed at www.throopfh.com
