Jerry D. Hillman, age 77, of Conklin, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016 with family at his side. Jerry was born in Grand Rapids, MI. to the late Harold and Rose (Barbachyn) Hillman. He served in the U.S. Marines and worked at the Coopersville Co-op for many years delivering feed to area farmers. Jerry was a simple man full of compassion and caring who loved to spend time with his family especially his grandchildren. He was very active and served as an elder at Trinity Lutheran Church in Conklin, was a member of the Berlin Fair Board for many years and loved to be outdoors fishing, hunting and farming. Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter Joy Hillman. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Janet; daughter, Jill and Charlie Armock; grandchildren, Christopher (Robin) Liszewski, Tyler Armock and Jessica Armock; great grandchildren, Emma and Logan Liszewski; sister Jeanette Eisen; brother Ken (Pat) Hillman; in-laws, Gerald (Karen) Kober, Joyce (Richard) Norton, Georgia (Dennis) Ojard, Ellis (Jeanne) Kober and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, 11 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1379 Harding St, Conklin, MI 49403 with Rev. Mark Oswald officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation at Trinity Lutheran Church Family Life Center in Conklin Friday, 2-4 and 6-8 pm and also Saturday one hour prior to the funeral at church.
