Jean Agnes (Virkstis) Richardson

Jean Agnes Richardson, age 90, of Marne, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 10, 2026.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, James Richardson, her son, Kenneth Richardson, and her brothers, Jack Virkstis and Robert Virkstis. Though she experienced many losses in her lifetime, she met each season of life with courage and faith. Her love for her family remained constant, and she held close the memories of those who went before her.

She is survived by her children, Kathy (Terry) Bush, and Doug Richardson, who will forever cherish the love, guidance, and example she provided. Jean also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Lynsey Saganek, Zack Bush, Justin Richardson, Samantha Lowing, Macy Richardson, Gabby Richardson, James Richardson, and Kenneth Richardson, each of whom brought great joy to her life. She was blessed with nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, who added even more light and laughter to her later years. She is also survived by her brothers, Pat Virkstis and Michael Virkstis, along with several nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.

Jean’s family is especially grateful for Janice Virkstis, who was very helpful during Jean’s illness and offered comfort and support when it was needed most. Her kindness and presence were deeply appreciated and will not be forgotten.
