Jean Rogers

Jean (Rollenhagen) Rogers, age 93, of Coopersville, formerly of Ravenna, was called home to her Lord and Saviour on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013. She was born April 20, 1920 in Coopersville to Jacob and Georgiana (Smith) Smith. She married Mark Rollenhagen on July 1, 1939, he preceded her in death on March 3, 1965. She was a Charter Member of the County Line Baptist Church. Jean loved to sew and lead young girls in 4-H for many years. She also loved to bake wedding cakes and was well known to many for her wallpapering. Jean is survived by her daughter, Bonnie and Wes Busman; daughter-in-law, Sheala Rollenhagen; grandchildren, Ted (Tracee) Reinertson, Sara (Tim) Kloe, Bobbe Jo (Kevin) Mills, Craig (Sheri), Chad (Tracy) Busman, Mark (Carmin), Michael (Deb), Daniel (Tracy) and Sherry Rollenhagen; 16 great grandchildren; sister, Marge Miller and several nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Mark and Orra Rollenhagen and William Rogers, her daughter, Janet and son-in-law Larry Reinertson, her son, Larry Rollenhagen, great granddaughters, Mackenzie Jo Mills and Lexie Reinertson, her sister, Marion Helmers, brothers-in-law, Lewis Helmers, Wayne Leatherman, Jack Miller and special nephew, Jack Leatherman. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 9, 2013, 11am at Throop Funeral Home, Coopersville with Pastor Rick Kiekentveld officiating. Burial will be in the Ravenna Twp. Cemetery. Visitation Friday, November 8th , 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home in Coopersville. The family wishes to thank NOC Hospice care givers, Margaret and Marilyn and Fountain View for the special care given to Grandma Jean during her time with them.
