Janette Coltson

Janette I. Coltson, 96, a long-time resident of Cheboygan (Mullet Lake), passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Fountain View Assisted Living in Coopersville, MI. She was born June 8, 1917 in Detroit. Mrs. Coltson is survived by two daughters, Marjorie Robinson (Jerry) of Greenville; and Carol Bach (Richard) of Lady Lake, FL; four grandchildren, Greg Bach of Greenacres, FL; Richard Corbin (Lisa) of Freemont; Jeff Bach (Jodie) of Aurora, Ill.; and Sue Dodde (Todd) of Conklin; and six great-grandchildren, Rachel and Michael Dodde; Kayla and Evan Bach; and Janelle and Hunter Corbin; three sisters, Fern Haas of Ann Arbor; Shirley Salow of Jackson; and Leona Schrader of Grandville; and two brothers, Howard Moore of South Carolina; and Dick Moore of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Coltson, who passed away on Sept. 11, 1974; and five brothers, Arthur Moore, Harold Moore, Raymond Moore, Robert Moore, Mel Moore and Orville Moore. Mrs. Coltson worked as an elementary school cook in Bay City. She and her husband moved to the family cottage in Cheboygan in 1972. She volunteered at the Extended Care Unit at the Cheboygan Hospital for 17 years and was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Cheboygan. She enjoyed knitting, doing a variety of arts and crafts, traveling and spending time with her family. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday May 17th at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville, MI. 49404. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery, Cheboygan, MI.
