James Lett

James O. Lett, age 72, of Coopersville, passed away with family at his side Wednesday, February 17, 2016. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI., to Oliver and Norma (Glenn) Lett who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sister Sandy Pfishner and brother John Lett. Jim served in the US Army and worked for Dayton Freight Co. in Grand Rapids for 10 yrs. Prior to that he worked for Rockford Paper Mill Co. for almost 30 yrs. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Peggy of 35 years; children, James (Barbara) Lett, Mark Lett, Merni (Corey) Drews; grandchildren Jacob Lett, Ashley Lett, Corey Lett, Zachary Boom, Shelby Boom and Nick Drews; sister, Diane Lett, brother-in-law Lee Pfishner and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Feb 20th, 11:00 am at the Coopersville Bible Church, 35 Hillcrest St, Coopersville, MI 49404 with Rev Tim McGarvey officiating. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery in Grand Rapids. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville and Saturday one hour prior to the service at Church.
