James Armock

James B Armock, aged 79, of Marne, passed away peacefully at his home on April 5, 2016. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jeffery Bronkema, brother, Harold Armock and parents Barton and Elizabeth (Rasch) Armock . He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 47 years, Vivian, his children, Anne (Donald)Vidro, Mary (Jeff) Venhuizen, Steve Looks (friend Jennifer), David (Debra) Looks, Theresa (Joseph) Schwallier, Eileen (Jeff)DeVries, Paul (Laura) Armock, Diane (Ken) Butts, Jennifer (Scott) Knauf; 24 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings Agatha Kluting, Ray (Erma) Armock, Dorothy Myers, Ed (June)Armock, Bertha Schoenborn, Arlene Armock, Leonard (Marianne) Armock . Jim was a devoted husband, wonderful father, proud grandfather, dear brother and friend. He was an example of selfless strength and true faith in God and he passed that faith onto his family, whom he treasured above all else. In addition to his commitment to God and family, he was a hardworking farmer who was dedicated to the land and fruit trees for all of his life. He enjoyed collecting and restoring antique tractors and was a member of the Antique Farm Power Club. He served his country in the US Army. He was a life-long member of St. Josephé�a�a��s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 noon on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at St Josephé�a�a��s Catholic Church, 18876 8th Ave, Conklin, with Fr Fred Brucker celebrant. Burial will be in St Josephé�a�a��s Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville and Saturday at church from 11 am to 12 noon. The Rosary will be prayed Friday evening 6 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Lorié�a�a��s Voice or St Josephé�a�a��s Catholic Church.
