Howard Horton

Mr Howard William Horton, aged 88, of Marne passed away peacefully Feb 13, 2012. Howard was born Jan 14, 1924 in Cadillac, MI. to Jess and Gertrude (French) Horton. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II after his service he worked as a mechanic. He was preceded in death by his wife Mina (VanderVeen) Horton on April 24, 1988 and son Donald Horton. Howard is survived by his daughter Wanda Horton; sons William (Shirely) Horton and Dennis (Shirley) Horton; daughter-in-law Verlyn Horton; six grandchildren; one great grandson and one great granddaughter; and two sisters. In keeping with his wish cremation has taken place. A family graveside service will be held at Marne cemetery in the spring. Services provided by Throop Funeral Home, Coopersville, MI.
