Herman Maiville

Herman Clyde Maiville, age 83 of Marion, Caledonia, and Coopersville, MI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, in his home. Herm was born December 7, 1933. He served in the Navy from 1953 to 1961. He served as an active Life Member of the VFW Post 5598 Coopersville and of the American Legion post in Marne, MI. Herm was a very kind and caring person who enjoyed helping others and spending time with his family and friends. He was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Herman's unconditional love, his wiliness to help everyone, and his passion for life were a gift from God and deeply touched all those who knew him. He will be deeply missed! He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Carol Maiville, his children Elizabeth (James) Zeqollari, Leonard (Lisa) Maiville, Amy (deceased) Martin Neely, Micheal Maiville, SSG Staff Staff Sergeant Jeffrey (Crissy) Maiville, Patrick (Sara) Maiville, and Brian Maiville. 9 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren, sisters & in-laws Carroll Blaszak, Gladys Poll, Katherine Berciunas, Leeora Wright, and Esther Ingalls, and brother & in-laws Russell Maiville and Chuck (Chris) Albrecht and many loving nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Herm will be Saturday, September 2, 2017, at 11:00 am at Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville, MI 49404. There will be visitation at Throop on Friday September 1st from 6pm to 8pm and Saturday morning from 10 to 11 am.
