Helen Ruth (Dykstra) Broere, age 81, of Coopersville was called home by her Lord Sunday, November 23, 2025 and reunited in heaven with her husband of 54 years Theodore “Ted” Broere who passed away March 23, 2022. Helen was also preceded in death by her parents John and Gertrude Dykstra, in-laws John and Gay Broere, brothers Enoch, Gerald, and Wilbur Dykstra, sisters Alice Cook, Shirley Zwyghuizen, and Louise Bronner, 2 sisters-in-law, 6 brothers-in-law, 5 nephews, 2 nieces and 2 great nephews.

Helen will be missed by her sisters,Mamie Teske, Donna Magennis, Gerda Systma, Virginia (Roger) Dykhuis, and Linda (Alvin) Longieliere: brothers, Karl (Linda) Dykstra, John Dykstra, Allen (Gloria) Dykstra: brothers-in-law, Douglas Zwyghuizen, Paul Bronner, and Gerald (Gina) Broere: sons, Nathan Broere and Steven (Melissa) Choi: grandchildren, Kayla Umlor, Adrianna Broere, Marshall Broere, Levi Broere, Jarren Choi and Taylor Choi: great granddaughters, Pearl Broere and Athena Broere: many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Helen’s wish cremation has taken place. A Life Celebration Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 20, 2025, 12:00 Noon at Faith Community Church, 105 68th Ave, Coopersville MI with Pastor Cori Conran officiating. Friends may meet the family Saturday one hour prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Church. Interment will take place at Lakeshore Cemetery, 17200 Lincoln St, Grand Haven MI.

Memorial Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., Heart Assoc. or American Cancer Society.
