Heidi Lynn (Snyder) Prichard, age 51 of Coopersville, MI., passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her husband, parents, and family.
Family was the center of Heidi’s world, and she loved hers with her whole heart. She is survived by her husband, Lucas Prichard; her father and mother, Jerry and Bernice (Ensley) Snyder; her brother, Jerry Jr. (Marcie) Snyder (Teagan Snyder and Josie (Kyle) Lowery); her twin sister, Heather (Rob) Kennedy (Quinn Kennedy and Allison Kennedy); brother, Chad (Lindsay) Snyder (Hailey (Jeffrey) Reuter, Trenton Snyder and Lorin (Joseph) Gleffe); her father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Judy Prichard; sister-in-law, Sonia (Tom) VanBragt (Emma VanBragt and Isaac VanBragt); many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and her fur baby, Otis, her Golden Retriever, who surely knew he had the best fur mom in the world.
She was preceded in death by her infant brother, Jason Snyder; her infant niece, Iris VanBragt; and her fur babies Ogie and Oliver, her Golden Retrievers, and Sam, her Cocker Spaniel.
She graduated from Union High School in Grand Rapids and worked for Grand Rapids Public Schools as a Warehouse Team Leader, where her reliability and steady presence made her a valued part of the team.
Heidi loved her family deeply but shared a special bond with her twin sister, Heather, and that connection was one of the great constants in her life. Their relationship was the kind that did not need much explanation because it was written in the language of twins, shared history, and probably a few inside jokes no one else was ever meant to understand. Heidi adored her nieces and nephews and was the kind of aunt who showed up, paid attention, and made sure they knew they were supported. She could always be counted on to attend their events, cheer them on, and step in whenever they needed help or guidance. Heidi’s life was a beautiful example of what it means to love deeply, laugh often, and show up for the people who matter. She will be remembered for her generous heart, her sharp wit, her devotion to family, and the way she made ordinary moments feel special. Her absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but her spirit will continue to live on in the stories told about her, the laughter she inspired, and the many lives she touched with her kindness.
In keeping with Heidi’s wish cremation has taken place. A Life Celebration Gathering will be held Sunday, June 14, 2026 2:00 – 6:00 P.M. at the GREIU Hall, 917 Bridge St. NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504. The family invites you to gather with them to celebrate Heidi’s life by sharing stories and memories.
