Harvey Bennink

Harvey D. Bennink, age 85, of Coopersville, was called home to his Lord unexpectedly Monday, December 18, 2017. Harvey is a lifelong resident of Coopersville and was born in Polkton Twp. to the late Benjamin and Kate (Sharphorn) Bennink. He served in the U.S. Army and  worked as a brick mason for VanderJagt Construction until his retirement. Harvey is survived by his wife of 60 yrs., Donna Bennink (Busman); children, Carla (Loren) VanDenBrink and Scott (Amy) Bennink; grandchildren, Lindsey (Ryan) Zic, Steven VanDenBrink, Gary Bennink and Greg Bennink; great grandchildren, Natilee, Maya; siblings, Irma Rotman, Ruth (Bob) Garvelink, Caroll (Dorothy) Bennink, Maurice (Lynn) Bennink, Alvin (Pat) Bennink and Bonnie (Jerry) Buitendorp; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Bennink, Karen (Bob) Grootenhuis; brothers-in-law Ken (Marlene) Busman and Wes (Bonnie) Busman; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Harvey was preceded in death by his brother Gordon Bennink. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, Dec 20th at the Coopersville Reformed Church with Rev. Cecil Martins and Rev. Arnold VanBeek officiating. Burial will take place at Coopersville Cemetery in the spring. Visitation will be Tuesday 4-7 P.M. at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville.
