Genevieve Saliers

Genevieve Margaret Saliers (Czinder) age 97, of Nunica, passed away Saturday morning Sep 23, 2017 and was reunited with loved ones in heaven. She was born in Grand Rapids to the late Cornelius and Hattie (DeJong) DeMeester. Genevieve was preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur Busman, Geroge Czinder and Floyd Saliers, her son Robert Busman, brothers John DeMeester and Raymond DeMeester, sister and brother-in-law Elsie and George Smith. Genevieve was a member of Ottawa Center Chapel for over 60 years; she was the Crockery Twp. Treasurer for 29 years and enjoyed farming, selling vegetables at her roadside stand and participating in the OK Choir in Coopersville. She is survived by her children, Mary Ellen (Lawrence) Sawicki, Daniel (Joyce) Busman and George (Nancy) Czinder; stepdaughter, Judy Grewe; stepsons, Russell (Karen) Saliers and Arlyn Saliers; 15 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Ottawa Center Chapel, 8991 Leonard St, Coopersville, 49404 with Rev. Robert Porterfield officiating. Burial will be in the Nunica Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 - 8 P.M. Wednesday at the Throop Funeral Home in Coopersville and Thursday one hour prior to the service at Church. Memorial donations may be made to Ottawa Center Chapel.
