Gay Arthur Grossenbacher, aged 82, passed away peacefully in his sleep Wednesday, October 25, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Gay was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing as well as woodworking. He was a longtime resident of Coopersville, MI and was the proud owner of Gay’s Trailer Sales, which became Fun-N-Sun RV. Gay also served his country as a member of the Michigan National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Ava (Snider) Grossenbacher and his brother Glen. Gay is survived by four sisters, Lelah Bouchard, Gloria (Art) Lillibridge, Lona Richter and Lucy (Marty) Mulder; one brother, Dennis (Pat) Grossenbacher; his dear friend Betty Anderson; four children Greg (Sue) Grossenbacher, Penny Grossenbacher, Cindy (Eric) Moe, and Jeff (Tammy) Grossenbacher; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren (soon to be seven) and the mother of his children Patrecia Grossenbacher. In keeping with his wish cremation has taken place. A Life Celebration memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St, Coopersville with Rev Dave Kingma officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends 6 to 8 P.M. Friday evening and Saturday 1 to 2 pm at the funeral home in Coopersville. Memorial donations may be made to West Michigan Alzheimers Assoc. 1740 Village Dr. Suite 336, Muskegon, MI 49442.
